9:30  Registration - Get Acquainted  ~Geri McFadden
Geri is a founding member of Heather’s Camp and has worked in the field of vision rehabilitation for 14 years.

9:50  Opening Comments  ~Bruce Kater, OD
Dr. Kater is a Wichita optometrist specializing in low vision with emphasis on working with children. Dr. Kater is president of Heather’s Camp, Inc.

10:00  Presentation  ~by Craig Phillips, MS, ED, COMS
Craig Phillips has served as a Teacher of Visually Impaired as an itinerant in the Chicago area and with the Lawrence, Kansas, Public School system. He taught Braille and English at the Kansas State School for the Blind. In 1997, he was named the Outstanding Teacher of the Year by the Council of Schools for the Blind (COSB) in the United States, in conjunction with the Principals of Schools for the Blind.

Craig presented at Envision ’06. We were so impressed with his excitement for youth and caring of his “kids” that we wanted to take this opportunity to have him share with us. Among many things, Craig will share with us about all the possibilities that are out there for our kids.
